Busy Bee!

So we get married in 115 days! It's crazy how fast time goes by! It just seems like yesterday I woke up to Bret down on one knee asking me to marry him! This summer is going to go by so quickly with our busy schedules!

Let me just break it down for you:

I Work 2-3 days a week for 12 hours at the hospital
+
3 days a week I spend at 8 hour clinicals
+
1 day a week in class
=
1 day a week for myself + planning a wedding = CRAZY

I'm trying to remind myself to "just keep swimmin," because it will be all worth it in the end! Can't wait to walk down the aisle and spend the rest of my life with Bret :)

Engagement Photos

Bret and I got our Engagement photos taken a few weekends ago. It was so much fun! We decided to have my little brother Zach take our pictures for us. He is becoming such a good photographer, and I knew how much it would mean to him. They turned out great, and the best part... they were free! It just so happens Zach was in Gainesville when we had a free day, so we drove up and had them done. Of course Bret agreed on the location, home to his alma mater, the Florida Gators :) We even took a few in the stadium. Here are a few of our favorites :)

Just keep swimming...

So I have realized that I am not really the posting type... I just like reading about other people's lives! Does that make me a stalker? Things have just been a little crazy around here!

I just started my second year of NP school.. which consists of crazy amounts of reading, postings, quizzes, case studies, SOAP notes, and clinical rotations! I'm still working in the hospital, and trying to make time for the loves of my life, Percy and Bret :) I don't know how these ladies in my class do this with a full time family on board too!

Here is a picture of me on my first day of my many hours of clinicals. Percy was a little excited for me too!

Percy just turned a year old at the end of August! I can't believe how big he is... and he's still growing! The vet thinks he will be between 90-100 lbs!

Bret is definitely keeping me sane through all of this. I don't know what I would do without him. He is such a big support. After going through law school, he understands the amount of work at time I have to put into my studies. I'm so thankful to have such a supportive and loving boyfriend. Bret was able to get season tickets to the FL Gators, so we have made the trip to Gainesville for the home games. It has definitely helped keep my mind of school for at least a few hours!

GO GATORS!

Beach weather is here!

I am so excited that it has finally decided to warm up in the sunshine state :) These past two weekends we have taken Percy out to the dog beach in New Smyrna. Little did we know how much he loved the sand and ocean. It was like watching a little kid. He dug holes for hours, played with the other pups, and absolutely loved the ocean! We are looking forward to going back again soon!

New year, new post

I just realized that I like reading all my friends' posts so much more then writing my own! It has been quite awhile since I last updated my blog, so I decided I better get jumpin' on it. I guess I should give a few updates of the last few months since my last post last year. So here is a little summary of my life in a nutshell:

My boyfriend Bret moved in with me in October to my little townhouse in Oviedo. I wasn't quite sure how everything would work out, but so far it has been great! We have learned so much more about each other and I love how much closer our relationship has grown. Bret has had the pleasure of seeing my neat freak side of organizing and cleaning, and I have been getting used to the TV being on ESPN in every room!

Our puppy, Percy, is almost 6 months now. He is such a sweetheart, and we absolutely adore him. He puts a smile on our face everyday. We have mastered the potty training and are now working on his fetish with chewing on our hands! We take him to the dog park in Baldwin almost every weekend. He absolutely loves it. There are tons of other dogs, a dog beach, water and trails. He hasn't quite figured out he can paddle yet, but we are working on it.

I am in my second semester of my Graduate Nurse Practitioner Program at UCF. It is going well, but keeping me very busy. I still work three 12 hour shifts a week at the hospital and go to school on my days off. I start my first clinic rotations in the fall. I'm excited to start seeing the healthier side of the spectrum, as opposed to the traumas and end stage disease I get at the hospital. I'm excited to be back at UCF again. There is something comforting about being a student again. I love it, and get to go to the football games for free again!

Bret also just got FL Gator season tickets, so it looks like we will be going to a lot of football games this year! Im super excited, and hoping my work/school schedule will let me go to some of them!

Besides school, work and training a puppy, nothing much is new. I suckered Bret into watching the Bachelor this season with me. Vienna, one of the finalists, actually went to my Highschool in Sanford. We had a few classes together and were in the same prom group, so it is pretty funny to watch her on TV. Im also excited to see what American Idol brings this season too, especially with Ellen as one of the judges! I love her!

Well hopefully my next post will come a lot sooner than this one did!
